Volleyball Recap: Skagway Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Skagway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11.

The win was the third in a row for Juneau-Douglas, bringing their record up to 16-9-4.

Skagway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juneau-Douglas, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Barrow on the 3rd.
