Baseball Recap: Ridgewood Gets the Win

Ridgewood won the last time they faced Fenton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rebels walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bison. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Kyle Szewczyk was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Ridgewood: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 10-11-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Moore, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ridgewood's record now sits at 14-11-1. As for Fenton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 20 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgewood will head out to square off against IC Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fenton, they will venture away from home to take on West Aurora at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackhawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
