Baseball Recap: Seymour Indians vs. Hannibal Pirates
Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Hannibal Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Seymour of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Seymour saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Miller, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
Seymour's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-13. As for Hannibal, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-11.
Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hannibal, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m.
