Volleyball Game Preview: Reagan Bison vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

The Reagan Bison will challenge the Gulf Breeze Dolphins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Reagan comes in on three and Gulf Breeze on 11.

Reagan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Varela.

Reagan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

Reagan can attribute much of their success to Santiago Mejia, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Yeison Gonzalez, who had 21 kills and nine digs. Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least seven every time he's taken the court this season.

Nease typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Gulf Breeze proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.

Gulf Breeze never let Nease on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

Reagan pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Gulf Breeze, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
