Softball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Skyridge Falcons

For the second straight game, Lehi will face off against Skyridge. The Pioneers will take on the Falcons at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Lehi is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Lehi is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Skyridge.

For Skyridge's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maylee Walston, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Skyridge's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Lehi, their victory bumped their record up to 21-8.

Skyridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lehi has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Skyridge, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Lehi's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
