Grove City extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 8-5 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Jamestown Muskies. Taylor Thompson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
