Volleyball Recap: Bayside Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Foley on Tuesday, Bayside Academy came back down to earth. The Admirals lost 3-0 to the Spanish Fort Toros on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Admirals have suffered since August 21st.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

Haley Robinson paced Bayside Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Robinson got some help from Sophie Hester and her 24 assists. Farrah Lane controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Victoria Holley, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 23 matchups.

Bayside Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Spanish Fort, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 34-6.

Bayside Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Helena on the 19th. As for Spanish Fort, they will square off against Gulf Breeze at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
