Baseball Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Carson Colts

The Kerman Lions will take on the Carson Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kerman hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Kerman came up short against Sierra Pacific and fell 5-1.

Kerman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Manha, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let Banning get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Joziah Agredano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Carson is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-10 otherwise. Agredano was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Carson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Kerman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
