Ada comes up short despite Carter Colombe's dominant performance

Recap: Ada Cougars vs. Piedmont Wildcats
On Friday, the Ada Cougars faced the Piedmont Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ada took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piedmont. Ada's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Ada lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carter Colombe. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Colombe is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Devon Maccollister was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ada's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Piedmont, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Ada and Bishop McGuinness will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bishop McGuinness will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Ada is ranked 21st). Piedmont and Tuttle will face off without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
