Marksville won the last time they faced Ville Platte and things went their way on Monday too. Marksville blew past Ville Platte 15-5. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Katie Lachney made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
