Football Recap: Pottsboro Skates Past a Plus Academy with Ease

Pottsboro won against Palmer last Friday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Cardinals took their game with ease, bagging a 57-6 win over the A Plus Academy Knights. That looming 57-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

Carson Nix had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 101 yards and three scores. Zavier Brady was another key player, picking up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Pottsboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Evan Roebuck, Trace Olsen, and Brady picked up one apiece. Roebuck got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Pottsboro, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for A Plus Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
