Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Palmyra-Eagle

Palmyra-Eagle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Parkview Vikings get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Parkview's batters probably weren't too happy with Sophia Lean, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Lean has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Presley Koss, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Teagan Koutsky, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Palmyra-Eagle hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview struck out 11 times.

Palmyra-Eagle's record now sits at 3-5. As for Parkview, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Palmyra-Eagle will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
