In other batting news, Joel Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He has become a key player for Tri-City Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-4 otherwise. New Way Learning Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Piccione, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another was Alex Seckler, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Tri-City Christian Academy's record now sits at 3-5. As for New Way Learning Academy, their record is now 0-5.
New Way Learning Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tri-City Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for New Way Learning Academy, though, as they've only averaged .158. Will they be able to contain Tri-City Christian Academy's hitters?
