Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Flyers vs. San Antonio Christian Lions

The St. Joseph Flyers will square off against the San Antonio Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so San Antonio Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

St. Joseph's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They really took it to St. Anthony for the full four quarters, racking up a 38-0 victory. Considering the Flyers have won five matchups by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, San Antonio Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-19 W against the Bloodhounds.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Sloan Guillory and Gavin Cisneros. Guillory had a solid game and rushed for 45 yards and two TDs. Meanwhile, Cisneros was balling out in the loss, throwing for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 100 yards.

San Antonio Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

St. Joseph couldn't quite finish off San Antonio Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 and fell 17-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Guillory, who rushed for 76 yards and one score, and also threw for 71 yards and one TD.
