Catalina Foothills faced Canyon del Oro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Falcons fell 3-0 to the Dorados. That makes it the first time this season the Falcons have let down their home crowd.

Catalina Foothills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ganon Dwyer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Catalina Foothills and nudges their season record down to 19-5. As for Canyon del Oro, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

Catalina Foothills has already played their next matchup, a 27-9 victory against Rincon/University on the 25th. As for Canyon del Oro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 win against Casa Grande on the 28th.
