Basketball Recap: Baldwin Panthers vs. Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars
The Baldwin Panthers entered their tilt with the Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Baldwin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 win over the Cougars on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Baldwin also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Crossroads Charter Academy still got an impressive performance from Keegan Carnes, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carnes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Tennis, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Even though they lost, Crossroads Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Baldwin pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Baldwin will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walkerville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
