Castle has gone 8-2 against Jasper recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 11:00 a.m.

Castle will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Evansville Reitz on Wednesday. The Knights were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Panthers. The Knights have beaten the Panthers the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Sadie Winsett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Emma Bruggenschmidt was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Baker, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, neither Jasper nor Apollo could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Castle pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. With that tie, Jasper's record moves to 10-5-1.

Castle took their win against Jasper when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
