Basketball Recap: Summit Academy Eagles vs. Transit Tech Express
The Summit Academy Eagles stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They really took it to Transit Tech for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-39 victory at home. With Summit Academy ahead 51-19 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariyha Boston, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boston has scored all season. Chloe Freeman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 assists.
Summit Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Transit Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Summit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Brooklyn Collegiate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Eagles are ranked 98th). Transit Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
