Vinemont had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Carbon Hill Bulldogs 38-6. That looming 38-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Gabriel Herrera was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 108 yards and one TD. Those 108 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Herrera was just one part of a punishing run game: Vinemont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Vinemont now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Carbon Hill, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Vinemont will host West End at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Carbon Hill, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
