Basketball Recap: Stafford Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Stafford on Monday. They took down the Hylton Bulldogs 61-43. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Stafford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Ferguson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. Stafford is 9-3 when Ferguson posts five or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Annalise Mcconnell, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 16 points.

Stafford was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hylton only posted nine assists.

Despite the loss, Hylton still got an impressive performance from Diamond Johnson, who went 8 of 20 en route to 19 points and seven boards. Kaniya Fobs was another key player, putting up six points.

Stafford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Hylton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stafford will square off against North Stafford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hylton, they will challenge Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
