The Immanuel Eagles will take on the Exeter Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Immanuel 2.8, Exeter 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Immanuel barely beat Washington Union the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Amanda Herrera made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Maritzah Cibrian was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Natalia Delgadillo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Immanuel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington Union only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Exeter unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sierra Pacific by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Monarchs have suffered since April 30, 2024.
Chloe Sparrow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks.
On the hitting side, Kait Rios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lanie Uruchurtu, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Exeter's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Immanuel, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-2.
Immanuel beat Exeter 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
