Basketball Recap: Moore Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Liverpool

On Saturday, Moore Catholic faced Liverpool in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Moore Catholic Mavericks took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liverpool Warriors. The Mavericks' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Moore Catholic lost, don't look at Brianna Caliri. Despite the final result, she posted 23 points and eight rebounds. Caliri's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Bruno-Dunn, who earned 11 points along with five assists and five boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Moore Catholic fell to 7-1. As for Liverpool, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
