Las Animas extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Emma Netherton. The Las Animas Trojans really took it to the Walsenburg Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-11 victory thanks in part to Netherton, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 16 points and six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Las Animas is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points per game. As for Walsenburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Las Animas will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Evangel Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. Las Animas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Walsenburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-30 loss against Primero on the 27th.
