Basketball Recap: Granada Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Granada had won three straight road games and Maddox Coleman did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Granada Bobcats managed a 49-43 victory over the Wiley Panthers thanks in part to Coleman, who went 7 of 14 en route to 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Granada's points.

Wiley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Grant Mauch, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points along with five assists and three steals. Mauch has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Milton Hernandez was another key player, putting up six points and three blocks.

Granada is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Wiley, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granada will head out to take on Eads at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiley, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wiley Panthers duke it out with the Manzanola Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wiley is facing Manzanola at the right time seeing as Manzanola is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
