Basketball Recap: Big Lake Comes Up Short

Big Lake lost against Zimmerman back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Big Lake Hornets might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Zimmerman Thunder an easy 67-44 victory. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Big Lake now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Zimmerman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Big Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Zimmerman, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Zimmerman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
