Soccer Game Preview: Pueblo East vs. Pueblo South

Pueblo East hasn't had much luck against Pueblo South recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will challenge the Colts at 7:00 p.m. Pueblo East will be strutting in after a win while Pueblo South will be coming in after a loss.

Pueblo East had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Pueblo Central on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Wildcats 6-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Pueblo East's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Pueblo South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to Sand Creek.

Pueblo South's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Pueblo East, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Pueblo East beat Pueblo South 2-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
