Basketball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Flagler Palm Coast lost to Westside back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs secured a 71-67 W over the Westside Wolverines.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flagler Palm Coast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corinthians Watson Jr, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave Watson Jr a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Anthony Hampton, who posted 21 points.

Flagler Palm Coast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinard Life, who had 16 points. Gary Hyde was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Flagler Palm Coast is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Westside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Flagler Palm Coast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-51 defeat against DeLand on the 27th. Westside has also already played their next matchup, a 67-57 loss against Raines on the 31st.
