Basketball Recap: Miami Springs Comes Up Short

Miami Springs lost against Goleman back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Miami Springs Golden Hawks fell just short of the Goleman Gators by a score of 55-52.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcelo Bautista, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those three steals gave Bautista a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Frudrias Porter, who earned 12 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Miami Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Goleman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Miami Springs has already played their next game (against JC Bermudez Doral), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Goleman will square off against Marathon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Goleman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season.
