Baseball Recap: Sperry's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Sperry not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs as they made off with a 9-1 victory. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Monday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Sperry's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-10. As for Lincoln Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Coming up, Sperry will take on Rejoice Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Bishop Kelley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
