Volleyball Game Preview: Cienega Bobcats vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros

The Cienega Bobcats will head out to face off against the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cienega will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Cienega made easy work of Buena and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cienega was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Flowing Wells suffered their biggest loss since March 6th on Monday. They came up short against Catalina Foothills, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Caballeros in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Flowing Wells was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 11 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11, 25-11.

Cienega's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Flowing Wells, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-12.

Everything went Cienega's way against Flowing Wells when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Cienega made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Caballeros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
