Basketball Recap: Simon Kenton's Run of Ten Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of ten wins, Simon Kenton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the South Oldham Dragons by a score of 61-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Pioneers still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Simon Kenton got some senior leadership from Bode Stone and Jay Bilton. Stone made all 9 shots he took racking up 24 points and eight rebounds, while Bilton shot 90% from the field to rack up 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stone has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tysin Weaver, who posted four points and four steals.

Simon Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for South Oldham, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 24 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.
