Basketball Recap: Cadillac Heritage Christian Extends Winning Streak to Five

Cadillac Heritage Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 43-36 win over the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Weston Kinney, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Kinney a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Coby Bilderback, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points.

Cadillac Heritage Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Cadillac Heritage Christian will take on Walkerville at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-33 win against Traverse City HomeSchool on the 7th.
