Volleyball Recap: Howell Vikings vs. Parkway West Longhorns

Howell suffered their biggest loss since September 4th on Friday. They came up short against the Parkway West Longhorns, falling 3-0. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Howell was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Parkway West work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25, 25-21.

Aubrey Kane paced Howell's offense, picking up nine kills. Kane got some help from Grace Thompson and her 16 assists. Grace Seaman and Grace Tutschulte kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Macyn Tarter was the offensive standout of the game as she had 12 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Howell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Parkway West, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1.

Howell has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Eureka on the 20th. As for Parkway West, they will head out to take on Oakville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
