Football Recap: Pasco Pirates vs. Springstead Eagles
Pasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-0 loss at the hands of the Springstead Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Eagles are ranked 146th).
Connor Mccazzio had an outrageously good game for Springstead as he rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
Pasco's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Springstead, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pasco will face off against Wesley Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Springstead, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on September 20th.
