Baseball Recap: Mannford's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mannford entered their tilt with Kiefer on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Kiefer Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Trojans two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Colton Wofford looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mannford is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Mannford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunnar Lovekamp, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Mannford is undefeated when Lovekamp posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Another was Mason Harvey, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win got Mannford back to even at 3-3. As for Kiefer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
