Volleyball Recap: Dugway Falls to Pinnacle in First Game of Season

Dugway had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Pinnacle Panthers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Dugway took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Elena Sagers and Dana Pace, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Luci Thompson and her six assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Pinnacle back to even at 2-2.

Dugway has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Tooele on the 15th. As for Pinnacle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against American Prep WV on the 14th.
