They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 90-13 victory over the Lions. The win was just business As usual For Peyton, who after 21 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for AJ Mannering, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and 12 steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Peyton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Nickell, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Peyton's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 59.7 points. As for Lyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Peyton and St. Mary's Academy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on March 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Peyton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully St. Mary's Academy likes a good challenge.
