A Season-Best Performance from Joquin Dingle Leads Laney over North Brunswick
Joquin Dingle produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Laney to the win on Friday. Dingle rushed for 252 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.
Laney's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4. Dingle's next game is against Topsail on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Quinn Bentley was a major factor in Ashley's victory over Topsail on Friday. Bentley turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Ashley pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Bentley and Ashley will be playing in front of their home fans against North Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Campbell Posts Huge Game in 34-31 Defeat
North Brunswick was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Jonah Campbell did his best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Campbell was still balling out as he rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 169 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.
For the year, Campbell has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 110.6 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.95 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 88.48 passer rating.

Josiah Borton Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, West Brunswick got the W thanks in part to Josiah Borton playing the best football he has all season. Borton threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He sure picked the right time to have a big game: West Brunswick's opponent (New Hanover was ranked a full 105 places higher in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings.
With the victory, West Brunswick broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. Borton will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against South Brunswick on Friday.
