It was a good run, but Larkin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Hinsdale South Hornets. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10.

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hinsdale South, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Larkin will take on Addison Trail at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hinsdale South, they will square off against St. Laurence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
