Softball Recap: Compton Early College's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Compton Early College put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Centennial Apaches by a score of 16-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-11 last Tuesday.

Compton Early College pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compton Early College will venture away from home to face off against Firebaugh at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Compton Early College has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Centennial will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Monica at 3:15 p.m. on March 11th.
