Volleyball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Pioneer Valley Christian Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Raiders have suffered since September 24, 2024.

While Commerce was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-9.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pioneer Valley Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Commerce will face off against South Hadley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Red Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pioneer Valley Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chicopee Comp at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
