Softball Recap: Adrian Takes a Loss

Lumen Christi Catholic hit Adrian with a eight-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Maples lost 14-6 to the Titans. The defeat continues a trend for the Maples in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Jazlynn Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Canales, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Adrian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Adrian will challenge Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Chelsea at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
