Fairfield had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the West Noble Chargers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Faith Berkey made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Lilly Yoder was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Kinslyn Pressler was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Fairfield's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
