Springfield Catholic lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Marionville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Fighting Irish were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over the Comets on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Irish sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Springfield Catholic's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Marionville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Springfield Catholic will venture away from home to take on Buffalo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marionville, they will host Pierce City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
