Basketball Game Preview: East Greenwich Avengers vs. South Kingstown Rebels

East Greenwich hasn't had much luck against South Kingstown recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The East Greenwich Avengers will be playing at home against the South Kingstown Rebels at 6:00 p.m. South Kingstown took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Greenwich, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, East Greenwich beat Coventry 50-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Avengers.

Meanwhile, South Kingstown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 36-30 to Chariho. The Rebels have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

East Greenwich is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for South Kingstown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

East Greenwich was taken down by South Kingstown 80-37 when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can East Greenwich avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
