Soccer Recap: Rocktown Comes Up Short

Rocktown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the William Monroe Dragons. While losing is never fun, Rocktown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while William Monroe are ranked 32nd).

Rocktown's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for William Monroe, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocktown will take on Harrisonburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for William Monroe, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Turner Ashby at 7:00 p.m.
