Football Recap: Parkway Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Parkway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Crestview Knights on Friday, falling 62-41. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Braxton Leeth had a dynamite game For Crestview., rushing for 419 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. Those 419 rushing yards gave Leeth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Perrott, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one TD.

Coming up, Parkway will square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crestview, they will challenge Marion Local at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
