Midlothian has gone a perfect 8-0 against Cleburne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will host the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian duked it out with Terrell on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.
Aubrey Robledo was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Martinez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Midlothian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cleburne got the win against Seguin on Friday by a conclusive 17-7.
Kadenze Quzma was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Azriela Huber was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Cleburne's victory bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Midlothian, their win bumped their record up to 20-10-2.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Midlothian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. However, it's not like Cleburne struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Midlothian got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Cleburne by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
