American skates past Newark Memorial with ease

Recap: American Eagles vs. Newark Memorial Cougars
The American Eagles put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Newark Memorial 71-42 at home. Given American's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Newark Memorial is ranked 880th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kiratraj Sanghera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of American's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arman Mahavni, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
American's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Newark Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
American will head out on the road to face off against James Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark Memorial, they will be playing at home against Irvington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
