Baseball Game Preview: Tocoi Creek Toros vs. East River Falcons

For the second straight game, Tocoi Creek will face off against East River. The Toros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tocoi Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so East River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tocoi Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over East River.

Kaleb Stockwell looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ayden Ramos, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Micha Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Tocoi Creek's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for East River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12.
